The West Volusia Florida Chapter of NOW is a small and growing, active group of women and men.
We have been in this area and actively speaking out since 1979. We support the equal rights of women in all areas.
NOW is the largest grass roots activist organization in the US. At the local level we work on issues that are relevant
to our own community.
How YOU can help. Florida is one of the three states that can finally get the ERA passed.
We still do not have the Equal Rights Amendment to the Constitution. Call your State Legislators. Get it passed.

During this convention trip, we participated in a march on the Tennessee capitol. Our members participated
to show we really are out there exposing our feminism. You know..... Feminism.. the movement to win political,
economic, and social equality for women.

This month we will beginning planning for attending the Natiolnal
Conference in Tampa, Florida. Its a great opportunity for many to go! Come and join us for this and other issues
and action planning.

The chapter went to Boston for the July national convention.
Our September, 2010 meetingwill be talking about tht and the coming year.
Lots of things have been happening to all of us during the years
since the last posting. We like to catch up via e-mail and meetings. Join us in the 2010 - 2011 season of events
and work.

Come to a Meeting!. You do not have to be a member to attend
meetings or participate in our events. We work with the Students of Stetson University and can offer special memberships
for students. We also can provide childcare during meetings if notified in advance.
We meet at 6:30 pm so we can talk a while before the gavel comes
to start business.
Meetings are on the THIRD THURSDAY of each month unless we make a different arrangement planned ahead and announced.
Greetings are at 6:30 PM. The Meeting starts at 7:00 PM.
We have tea and coffee available and snacks are welcome.
